No mate you are not listening to what your wife is trying to tell you, she wont do this by just telling you, thats what guys do, woman don't. They think emotionally, take her by the hand and tell her that nothing would make you happier than to see her happy and if this means buying a VW camper this is what you will do. The best adventures i have ever had is in a crap car, breaking down. My wife and i broke down in the highlands, no lights, no window wipers, 10pm at night in a storm in November going through Glenshee, when we made it to Braemar through the snow and deer on the rd we managed to take refuge in A huge Hotel that was posher than posh, spent the night in a four poster bed in a Celtic style bedroom. Go on Andy, let go of your control and take a step on the wild side, hell you might even have a laugh. You guys have done your bit, your boys are all grown up and successfull in their own rights, and that deserves a reward mate.

So the best I can hope for is the Vdub breaks down on the hard-shouder (covered in pretty flowers) takes 4hrs for the AA to show up, and then spontaneously combusts??? Can life get any worse?

You're doomed mate, no chance!:lol::lol:

Ditto; infernal machines. Determine that you will have absolutely nothing to do with maintenance and repair. She'll learn the very hard way. Drive it to Newquay when done - someone will pay a fortune for bleedin' thing down there.

You have my utmost sympathy.

The worst thing is, the one thats caught her eye has pretty flowers stuck all over it :crying:

Oh my word! Balaclava time. :lol:

I'm all for ridding the roads of them and will gladly come and a) steal it, b) torch it or c) smash it up for you. PM me when ready.

Ho Ho! But what you're not saying Stevie is that for every lovely romantic story as above there are another 20 stories that end in tears, arguements and wasted time :lol:
