i think i've had mine 5 years, i'm curious to know if any longterm users have had the same problem. had it for a few years then eventually it started slipping so i changed the cam(understandably), only had the new cam for 6 months and its started slipping again. do you reckon i've worn the body of it and i might have to change the whole unit?

My guess is the spring that holds the cam..thats what goes on mine and the spring is part of the cam replacment kit...i dont think its possible to wear the cam that much if you think of what a lock jack or spider jack cam does in comparison..

Can thest be instaled on mid rope,or is it an end feed like the spiderjack?

Feed it from end,

but You can unscrew it all and connect it midline, for a wirecore.etc

so then by me replacing the cam i should have also replaced the spring. i'm pretty sure i remember changing the spring. maybe a new lanyard would help. i might just take it apart and see where the wear is. but yes it does only a fraction of the work that an lj does.
