Tommy, normal double rope off a saver on a VT.

 

Like the saver on the work side of the wall idea Rich. May suspend the saver on a wire cable that runs over the wall? Problem is the cliff extends about 60 feet horizontally, so whatever is protecting my rope needs to be fairly mobile.

 

This will (hopefully) be a one-off, so I can't be spending loads on specialist rope access gear that will end up in my shed with my gravity boots, EZ-curl bar, vibrating ab-belt, Sinclair C5 etc....

Get a 90 degree bend of dranage pipe, put two feet of pipe in each end then put your rope through and as you decend over the edge sit the elbow over the corner. It wont move Mark:thumbup:
