tommy each winch on the holder is 4 ton, it struggled with some of the pulls, i have a 10 foot long piece of 5 inch angle iron dragging through the water. bobby the chemical option is a minmum 2k and it is still chemicals no matter how safe the say it is, and when i am doing it we are taking all the roots and sludge awell

 

Oh rite had no idea about price or wheather it was an option just throwing it into the air.

you get a weed cutter mate its like a twisted saw blade in 4 foot sections with length of chain at either side so it can be as long as you want, and you pull it back and forward cuts it easy, done it loads of times with a length of rope on both sides with a guy on the bank and one on the boat.

the problem with ripping it out by the roots is you will take lots of cadis and other bugs that will die on the bank and the silt can get destabalised causing the place to get very murky in a high wind. well thats what we found anyway.
