Had both the zubat and the gomtarro, find the gomtarro slips out more but i prefer it as you can whip it out for the smaller sticks and tighter corners.

Mind you I only generally use a silky for anything smaller then the thickness of your thumb.:blushing:

Hi Guys,

its a Zubat and pod for me every time, the bottom of the scabbard does clog thought and it doesn't take much then to 'lose' the saw...........it is beginning to bug me a bit but I'm sure I will deal with it.

However the curve blade is definitely more effective, its all to do with effort and the physics of the blade, it actually pulls the saw into the wood, and not skating on the surface, which I think straight blades tend to.

Cheers

Hi stig of the dump,

Silky, great brand which you can't go far wrong with. However, we have had an increase in demand for a new brand called 'Cutting-Edge', they pop up at all the usual trade fairs. The most popular sheathed saw that we supply from that brand is the 'Bronco' 310mm.

The secure-to-scabbard locking mechanism is designed with assisted rollers built into the scabbard sheath giving you optimal safety & storage comfort with an easy one-handed release action, and used with a Sawpod makes this saw perfect professional pruning, trimming, lanscaping, forestry and gardening.

Any queries, please PM us. :hello:

Regards,

Jason.

i have this saw,, and whilst the locking mechanism is VERY good,, the scabbard is prone to collecting sawdust/ crap,, solved this by cutting the bottom off it.

also notice using a mates silky that it's just not as "solid" as the silky..

think my next saw will be a silky..

regarding the sawpod, found it was like trying to keep a frozen trout in a scabbard made of k-y jelly,, bloomin thing keeps slipping,, have had it back on the belt since,,

must point out that i am a bit of a wriggler...

Silky Sugoi 420-6.5 Large Sheathed Saw with saw pod. Great saw but some time I think its just a little bit to big. Also sawdust builds up at the bottom of the sheath which if you don't clean out the saw falls out, you also need a long skinny flat head screw driver to clean it out.
