Which hand saw and why?

Was interested to know what everyone uses while climbing. I've seen everything from the usual silky zubat to small folding saws and even saw someone usual a bowsaw from a mewp!

I've got a 300mm silky zubat and as of tomorrow hopefully a saw pod for it.

So, what do you use?

Hi stig of the dump,

Silky, great brand which you can't go far wrong with. However, we have had an increase in demand for a new brand called 'Cutting-Edge', they pop up at all the usual trade fairs. The most popular sheathed saw that we supply from that brand is the 'Bronco' 310mm.

The secure-to-scabbard locking mechanism is designed with assisted rollers built into the scabbard sheath giving you optimal safety & storage comfort with an easy one-handed release action, and used with a Sawpod makes this saw perfect professional pruning, trimming, lanscaping, forestry and gardening.

Any queries, please PM us. :hello:

Regards,

Jason.

I have a samurai as it was cheaper than the silky equivilant. If claimed you can cut plaster board with it so I did and now its a bit blunt. Not impressed. Think it will be a silky again or the BQ one above as I must admit I've had one before and aren't a bad bit of kit at 13 quid.
