I'd rather work 5 days a week for £50 a day doing a job I loved and go home happy to my family every day than work for £100 a day and spend all my time moaning about how crap my job is.

Maybe just me.

Fair play to ya frank... You go work for your £50 a day... I wouldnt get out of bed for it mate... that wont even pay the bills..

I'm not saying I do that. I'm self employed and freelance climb for other people. For a minimum of £150 a day. But when times are hard, i work to pay bills and keep a roof over my familys head and food on the table. No matter how dangerous the job is or how many of my super skills I need to call upon.

Earning nothing wont pay the bills either.

Maybe i should change my trade instead of being made a fool of by the newbies and the greedy employers..!!!!

Ever thought what its like being a 'newbie' Ive never had to go through half what others have to find work we are all feeling the pinch at the momment but saying you wont get out of bed for £50 a day taking that kind of attitude aint going to get you a job is it. Works work would your rather sit on your behind wacthing jeremy kyle and loose women?

seriously mate £50 is nothing,, this is exactly the reason why us good, experienced climbers cant find well paid work

I think sometimes you have to take what's there, and keep your eye out for more, show your worth & hope it gets recognised,if it doesn't then move on when the oportunity arises, beats sitting on your chuff geting the hump with it,we may be worth more, but times are tuff,& that isn't going to change for anyone any time soon.

Wish you well in your search for good work.:001_smile:
