the food last year was good, it was a chilli if i remember right, i do remeber the coffee being rubbish and the boys saying the beer was warm, i reckon the show guys should use the guy from the capel show, a big mobile bar with professional bar staff and ice cool drink

Mnay tahnks Stephen, I've clocked that one!

Hope all's well.

Paul

That "pork and cider, for a fiver!" was a killer, was already having a cider with some old work mates and with the boss when we decided to buy some food. We all went for that deal, but everyone forgot they were driving (except me) and all the cider was passed onto me! Luckily no drunken purchases were made! :blushing::biggrin:

Was a good show, all be it abit small. I wasnt to sure what to expect as the only show id been to previosly was the APF and that is big! Came away with all my money still in my wallet as mr stihls price increase had made everything go up to much

Was a good little show, had a laugh trying to push dealers down on prices but didnt wonder over to the arbtalk stand and only saw it on the drive out, doh! :blushing:

Paul i came away from the show a bit disappointed. I found that i came away from the show having not learned anything. This was particularly at the sthil demonstration area, which last year gave some good ideas and made me think about the way that we carry out some of our procedures. You need more people who are innovators to lead discussions/ demonstrations, otherwise the show will become one big shopping event.

However the tree climbing competition was very good, and it was good to see that even the competition climbers have a bad day with their throwline!

But you need better signage for this event i.e. competition rules, what people have to do in the tree etc

Posting on my phone so will say more when I get home, but many thanks to all who supported our little raffle and tombola. Thanks to those who donated prizes. Its all of you guys who make these events a success, and your enthusiasm is appreciated. Great to see many new faces once again, and hopefully catch many of you at Jonesies do. Thanks again.

I have to say from an exhibitors point of view the AA show is expensive when you look at how much area you have and the attendance numbers. Also 2 years ago I was charged a ridiculous amount for the ropey wood I was given for demoing the mills on. Even more ridiculous when you are on a woodland estate IMO. And it just made me think 'money grabbing .....'

That left a bad enough taste in my mouth not to return...

But I appreciate what you're doing Paul so well done on the thread!
