i sectioned all the branches off and the old timer decided to fell the butt.

I don't believe for one second that an old timer did that. Looks like a young and enthusiastic "I'll do it, I'll do it",fell. I can imagine the old timer standind back with a wry smile saying "well what's happened here then". Hahaha

the tree wasnt hooked up on the fork but i took the limb off so we could winch roll the stick off.
