Havs

Just started getting tingling in my right hand, only started this winter my hands and feet hurt when I was standing around in the cold. Went to the doctor told me I had Reynolds syndrome but not to worry. Got a pair of ant-vib gloves which seems to help and in the process of changing some of my kit for low-vib kit (no Kawasaki). Just wondered if anyone else suffers from this.

I tend not to do hedge cutting any more, its by far the worst, IME.

I'd definately agree with that, Dave.

My hands used to tingle with pins and needles all the time after a lot of hedge trimming.

The newer ones with spring mounts are quite good these days.

I don't like gloves but I wear them a lot these days, both to try and prevent further damage, and because my hands are bloody cold all the time.

The heated handles on my 361 are great.

Agree with that, and also the older stihl blowers.

I still do plenty of hedge trimming though, using the long reach ones to which are the worst. I cant get on with wearing gloves as i get sweaty hands and its just horride when you have gloves on.

Its something i need to address, as i am already feeling the effects of vibrations on my hands and im only 19.

tavistock saws do some fingerless gloves with a double wrist wrap, apparently the wrap being tight forces blood with more pressure up to the tips of the bell ringers as the vibrations are what detract it from that area causing pins and needles, and they have anti v gel through palm up to finger section £20 used purely for machinary, blowing saw polepruning, very good highly recommend them, made by sheik or shlek
