I used to have a Citroen Berlingo:blushing: BUT, it was one of the best vehicles I've ever had! It has a high ground clearance (compared to standard cars), nice thin wheels and a massive boot space, especially if you drop the rear seats. The rear sliding doors were a feature I liked, it makes it loads easier to get stuff in and out. Mine never let me down and I used to take it off road regular when out lamping and shooting.

if you really are going to get a 4x4, go for one with a proper low box.

Currently driving about in a freelander 2 and an X-trail. Both have got 6 gears, but neither have a low box which I reckon is a total flaw.

I would go for something a little bigger (disco / isuzu) with a proper box and proper ground clearance. Depending on how you drive, you won't loose much in MPG.

right im after a lil bit help folkes basically my c3 is gettin battered goin up n down forest traks i have 3k to spend looking for either a 4x4 or something with a bit of height as not to ground it all the time any help appreciated

I paid £2800 for my 1994 Toyota Land Cruiser. It's 4.2 diesel, has eight seats and will tow 3.5 tonnes. It also has front and rear diff locks. It will do 27mpg if you drive nicely. Oh, and they don't rust. Just make sure you get the big end shells changed if you buy a <94. Bits cost £60 from Milner and takes about three hours.
