well ive certainly been in oaks in excess of 800, beeches over 500, yews of the same maybe more, ive had to fell a massive ash that must have been nigh on 450 500 years old (old pollard, totaly hollow) guess the tree species matters as to age, not all make the giddy ages of the yew, maybe 5000 being the upper level so were all pretty tame so far! wait till MDvaden pipes in to this!

I had to remove storm damaged branches from 'Cromwells oak at Hayden in Norfolk' so he was 10 when the bull chased him up it, so if you can work that out then its that old.

This is the oldest one ive climbed. 2000 years old apparently!!
