How did it go?

Did they tie you up or did you get them with the saw first.

Hope it went well - I think its vital that kids have real life contact with our industries. It's amazing just how a seed can be sown at a young age.

Good man for doing it:thumbup1:

I'm afraid I had nothing to add since I wouldnt have a clue on how to go about it!

Hope to God that none of the kids mentioned the words 'ladder' or 'MEWP':scared1:

Would be like a chanisaw massacre.

It went very well, I was amazed at some of the very good questions some asked, one girl asked "have you ever taken a risk to cut down a tree?" I pointed out that we always do a RA and mitigate any risk:sneaky2:

I showed them my rope and harness and told them about always having 2 anchors when cutting, but later when looking at some pic's of me cutting a teacher asked where my second anchor was :blushing:

It can also be a put of advertising kids go home tell the parants they had a tree surgeon in and the parants says oh we were thinking about having our tree done etc etc

Simple, just tell them that trees are made of wood and then begin to list everything thats made of wood that should kill an hour:thumbup:
