Hamas big reduction/pruning thread!

Recommended Posts

weve talked about the "ears bent back" thats how the reduced sail area works, 10 ft scaffold pole will roll a massive log, try it with a 2ft pole?

I think thats a different type of leverage mate. haha:confused1:

Correct frank

We are talking a ten foot pole with one man or a 2 ft pole with ten men.

My god, did i just get somehting right?????

Fact of the matter is, heavily reduced trees look rubbish, thinned and raised canopys look natural and untouched (if done properly). I only reduce trees for money, and I have NEVER recommended a reduction.:thumbup1:

I have reduced loads of trees in the short run they do reduce wind sail but in the long run it does not.... yours and mine photos show the reactive growth that is going to increase wind sail.... I will say though i have seen far more failures occour from tree topping though, as opposed to 25% reductions but then i suppose thats down to there is more of it about....

At the end of the day us reducing a tree to keep its natural form and for the best wound response its the best way imo to control a tree if thats whats the problem! or reduce wind sail....either way it will always require more work in the future..and i always make that point clear to my customers.
