Use of the AA logo

as we are aware, there are strict guidelines on the use of the aa logo,

 

whilst i am proud to be a member of such an organisation, and would quite happily promote said organisation, i find i cannot use the logo in certain situations, which i can fully understand the AA's stance on this.

 

ie; i cannot take a copy of the logo to a custom kit designer, and have it embroidered onto my stihl hiflex jacket, along with several other logos such as yale cordage, isc krabs etc, just in the same way as helmet stickers.

 

but if i were to purchase a reguler polo t shirt, and just happenned to be wearing it at work one day, would this be acceptable?

Im an RAC man myself but still wouldnt have it on my shirts!

'Yes', I know this is a total inconsistency in application of the use, or rtaher non-use, of the AA logo.

 

In answer to your question 'Yes' it would be acceptable, AND we need to sort out releasing use of the logo to all members (putting my neck on the line here but I says what I thinks...not alwasy the best strategy but 'old dog...' syndrome.)

Same here, also the points raised in the AA thread about a star rating is spot on, if there were a star rating i would be very interested at the moment ita all or nowt.

It sounds like a good idea, but I think the use of the logo could futher confuse clients as its so similar to the aaac logo. Mrs miggins may see the logo but not understand the difference between member and aaac. I'm an aaac and would rather not see a/the logo available to all. If your just after a sticker than you can already get that by joining the isa

I agree.

 

If I was a AAAC I would not want that "brand" diluted.

 

As a AAAC, how would you feel about a tiered scheme??
