We asked Citb for a course they replied that the machine is a chariot and not covered by any of their tests , didn’t bother with the forestry, npors had no qualification for a machine that you stand on my machine is a loader and dumper had it on site at Nine Elms on roof gardens they were happy as it weighs less than a tonne, what ticket have you got.?

I've got cpcs ,360 above and below ten ton with lifting ops , npors forward tip dumper and roller - the latter of the two was only because I couldn't get cpcs locally in those two categories at short notice .how ever I was looking at either a drott cert or tracked skidsteer cpcs but its the fun of finding a site to get them converted that meets nvq criteria.

Somewhere ive nvq2 forestry with forwarders and stuff like that ,then the is the usual for arboriculture and being a climber.

Who would any of you guys recommend speaking to regarding a good second hand machine? They’re not massively common on eBay etc, and I’d rather buy second hand from a reputable source if possible

Very difficult to buy secondhand I have plenty of people who would like my avant or Cormidi they would never see the market

These machines retail 25 to 40000 new, they turn up every day don’t go sick, are never late, and don’t require more money once you have bought them, it’s very possible to hire implements for them you don’t use very often, especially if you have a relationship with a good dealer,

At £40.000 they I believe are cheap labour, less than you will pay for a man over two years and you get the residual value

buy a new one you will then know it’s history

if your interested in a Cormidi speak to Andy Elliott DJB machinery Ashbourne

Compact Loaders UK, Frank Alviti @Dave Alviti and Will at Stag Machinery at Dereham are probably all worth a phone call.

I’ve tried frank, just waiting on a reply👍 I’ll look into the others cheers!

I completely see why they rarely come up second hand. Clearly a buy right buy once job

The type of work you are thinking of doing are you going to buy right machine. Would of thought not big enough to make life that easy or be productive enough.

Ground clearance is what you need to look at, I know from using my Tobroco giant in woodland with odd high stump left and not seeing one until to late and sitting on top of it.
