Go for it.

I have two Stihl combi's, but have had nothing but trouble from the KM130R, its been back to the dealer several times and finally went back to stihl for a full strip down and rebuild. Its a great tool, but not as reliable as the other Stihl gear we have.

how did you manage this i have been in arguments with sthil since half a tank of fuel went through my km 130R?? it has put off buying anything stihl since and i am stuck with a grands worth of combi system on a useless engine that i have lost my temper with more times than.....

Look on the bright side, Matty.

Mine has been brilliant!:001_tongue::thumbup:

I did have to change the spark plug for an unknown reason after not much use, mind.

Worked it like a dog since with no complaints.

Pole pruner head being purchased tomorrow for a specific job, in fact. Don't like the things personally, but will save half a day at least. Wouldn't have a gypsy stick near a tree that was being retained, though.

  • 4 weeks later...

After reading this thread, and badly needing a combi system. I decided to go for a cheap chinese Ebay import, knowing full well what I was getting, until such a time when I can upgrade to a Stihl or suchlike.

I went for this one on the bay, a little cheaper than the rest and sold by an English importer who gives a 6 months U.K. warranty (so no sending the thing back to someone who dosn't exist in China when it breaks).

Long reach Hedge trimmer Pole saw Strimmer 4 in 1 26 on eBay (end time 24-Aug-10 15:40:58 BST)

The seller eBay My World - pofflebot is spot on and good to deal with, sending me a 34cc motor instead of 26cc for the same price.

Although it is cheap, it'll do the job for a while. And it made the money I paid for it in less than 2 days for me :thumbup:

well so far its done 3-4 days worth of hedge cutting, its a bit heavier than the stihl and requires a few breaks to cool down but it was being used in that little non stop sunny days last month, its easily paid for its self and ive had no complaints, even the chainsaw combi tool is fine, fitted with an oregon bar and oregon chain
