I’ve been gifted quite a nice ms361 hasn’t done a lot of work from the original owner. It’s a 2004 and used it first time yesterday felling a row of large conifers.

Pulls alright with 18inch bar but have seen couple posts online about muffler mod really opens them up.
All the videos seem to be American, is there any over here that has done it and noticed a difference or just leave it stock?

What I was suggesting for £10 it's worth trying one of the cheap dual port ones, if it is better then you can make the choice if you want to pay over £100 for a modified OE one. The cheap ones are ok for firewood users but if used as a production / heavy user then of course they won't last as long, I've used them on Husky  55 and 365 and they were ok.

Try a Bark Box. A noticeable difference in power on my MS462.

Far as I’m aware they don’t do it for 361 as it’s a one piece muffler.
