They do indeed but, it doesn't seem to fit other manufacturers bars very well. Same with the 1/4 1.1

4 season anyway, not sure I'll need to swap them out for winter tires every year.

Probably just use the skidoo if conditions dictate.

This is what the carvers use as has a shorter tooth - but Stihl put the price of this chain up by 50% at the beginning of the year for no particular reason that I can work out.

Yep it seems that way! I don't get why Stihl would do this as they've been making this chain for many years - the onyl reason I can think of now one makes anything similar so they feel why not.

So why is it different to the husky or oregon versions as same pitch and gauge?

There are lots of varieties of chains with the same pitch and gauge - this has a shorter top plate and is unguarded compared to the Oregon 25AP and Husky chains.
