Tree stump disposal

Hello all, I've got a customer that is wanting us to dig out and dispose of tree stumps rather than stump grind, just wondering what companies people have used and rough pricings?

 

Based on the Cambridgeshire/Suffolk boarder

Try to find a groundworks company that specialise in it. Not just an idiot with a hired in mini digger. How many stumps, what size stumps and what kind of access?

 

This was this mornings job- dig this yew stump out without damaging the wall. Wouldn't have been possible without the tiltrotator to get underneath it sideways.

 

Getting rid of stumps will cost you an absoloute bomb at the green waste site.

There isn't a market for it yet, but tree stumps should be a valued resource for any beardy-weirdy gardening types offering habitat creation and rewilding and the like. A roots-akimbo tree stump next to a brand-new wildlife pond is peak garden aesthetic right now.

Not forgetting water mains, telephone, electric, gas and fibre optic.

You'd have to do a ground scan regardless though wouldn't you if you thought there was a chance of any buried utilities.

Stumps - could be tipped for sand dune stabilisation like they do with Christmas trees?

Digging roots out is the easiest bit getting out of garden and getting rid of them is the problem. Some skip companies will take them. 

When customer wants roots dug out I grind major part out then dig out rest then you have less to get rid of. 

If you can find someone with wildlife area, maybe worth asking if they want them.
