anyone recommend some anti vibe gloves?

just looking for some reccomendations of some good anti vibration gloves as i tend to get vibration shakes after running some of my older saws for a couple hours straight.

I tried some once . Found them too big and clumpy . No feel for what you are doing . I suppose its a trade off .  If you don't have heated handles ( which is supposed to help against white finger ) then as above . Take a break now and then .

I'm not sure if they're effective, they're basically just padded gloves.

Perfect excuse to sell em as vintage and buy something shiny then, unless he likes having spankers wrist ?.

I don't think they are much good better off buying a newer  saw with springs.

Anti vibration gloves aren't all that. I've found the arbortec chainsaw gloves with the little pads on to be the best gloves for chainsawing for soaking up some vibrations.

 

Things to check on your saws is it sharp is the bar worn and is the sprocket worn. All of these worn cutting components can cause excess vibration. So can using cheap and nasty bars and chains.  If the saw is old then AV rubbers and springs might be worn out. 

 

My 266 had a tiny crack in a spring changing it dropped the vibes massively. 

 

If the vibration is bothing you HAVS is chronic is only going to get worse. So get a better saw with lower vibration to reduce the problem.

As above, nerve damage is cumulative and not reversible, so really if you're getting the tingle after a couple of hours that's a sign more breaks are needed. It's another thing like hearing damage, when you're older and regret it, it's far too late to do anything about it. 

 

Heated handles are good if you're working in the cold, as keeping your hands warm helps circulation. Not really a factor this time of year.
