Tillotson still are still producing carbs and kits. Based in Tralee and look them up on line, very helpful. The last time I spoke to them it was a father and son team that were the main guys for chainsaw carbs.

I did wonder what happened, all my original saws had Tillotson carbs. I guess other firms could mass produce cheaper.

Tillotson couldn't keep up with demand and Walbro and Zama took the lion-share of the business.

Another recommendation for Rowena carbs...a very decent outfit, lots of knowledge from Hugo...the bloke I always deal with. They hold a lot of stock and have helped me out with some pretty difficult parts in the past.

I always considered Tillotson carbs easy to work on and pretty reliable. All Stihl zama carbs are chinese now....unfortunately

Zama have plants in Japan and Tennessee as well as China, as long as quality is maintained there is nothing wrong with Zama or Walbro. There are plenty of old saws still running with them.
