What's it like to burn?  I'm in the 'if its dry enough it'll burn' camp so not snobby about softwood but been offered some at £20/load (typical arb transit).

Its arbwaste not cordwood.

Thoughts?  Would you?

I'd have it for that money.

No idea what it's like as firewood but it's a good, and cheap, chance to find out.

Not much to lose is there

Dry it, burn it, but that £20 quickly turns into £300 of hard work and splitting.

It started as £40 and I said I don't pay for softwood arbwaste as not worth the time to process... so he dropped to £20 am I dumb to turn it away.  I can do a bit of processing here and there on a sunday morning, not during work time

It's beer money as they say, as long as it's not regular and is a clean load.

It's the usual, if you've got space and aren't picky or urgency it'll probably come you're way.

Just make a easy and a decent rapport, if you can take the chip it's even more attractive.

Tell him he can drop it but you won’t pay.

He’ll be happy just to get rid.

I have two tip sites almost equal distance away - one is free to tip at, the other pays me a little for any logs - guess who gets the most logs (not hardwood obviously)?
