AUDIO is another good vowel starter, Mark J tip.

At the start I was AUDIO, then Steve set the MOIST challenge and I stayed with that for ages, then had a stint with READY.

These days I'm completely random. Never thought that would happen, but I'm a random.

I went through a spell of using "adieu". Now I just go with whatever pops into my head,

I tried SHITE once and it accepted it as a word, so that could be one.

Would there be any fun in us all trying the same starter word? Maybe choose a different one each week or every few days?
