I hoped so, but then saw this pic when he was discharged from hospital.

I think he just wanted to die at home.

 

Fairytale of New York will seem even more poignant this year.

One of Irelands greatest, well respected over there, lyricist, poet, tradional Irish  folk music.

There were many facets to a talented but sometimes troubled man.

As Mark says Fairytale In New York  will be sad this year.

My wife was born in Germany. She's Irish.

Yer man MacGowan there used to play in the pub she grew up in, whenever he was out on the west coast. All the stories about him are true.

Tonbridge born and schooled in Westminster until expelled!  Sad but a life lived on his terms! Thanks for the entertainment Chap!
