Stihl cs500i is it worth it

Depends.

 

Do you have a use for it? 

 

If you have say a MS400 and a MS660 then the 500 isnt really filling any gap. If you lack a saw bigger than a 400 then its probably a good buy.

 

The MS500i is in my opinion the most over hyped saw in history,its ok but more of a Hipsters instagram prop than a propper saw.

There is a reason professional warranty is shorter on saws, that 562 will have had an uphill paper round.

 

It is an okay price for a brand spanking 500i

 

Jury is out on durability.

 

I think most tree firms could probably do 90% of their work with just a 201 and 500i nower days
