If you did buy direct from Sweden or somewhere Nordic, I'm not sure if you can reclaim any VAT on the import as an end user. If you're using B2B it probably isn't a problem tho.

Not many Log Cabins on the Transocean Spitsbergen right now. I'll keep looking though. :D

One the family members renovated his cabin by joining two bought log cabins.  He constructed them himself.

Their cabin is in Ål.  There are companies down in the valley where he bought from.  They are prepared and built then dismantled and numbered AFAIK for the customer to build themselves.

I have messaged him and when he get back to me I will let you know.

This is one of the companies, don’t know if it is where he bought from, but they specialise in Furu.  But we pass them regularly and there are loads of prepared logs in his yard.

The cabin on the left, the initial part was the left building.  He built the one in the rights and then connected the two.

When I was in Norway it seemed the Norwegians bought their cabins in kits from Eastern Europe, Latvia and Lithuania. I don't know of any  specific companies though I am afraid.

Good point. Most Norwegian Cabins are just small houses though, I particularly want a 'real' or as real as I can get to real Cabin.

I certainly do! I just need a rich unknown relative to leave me a bunch of cash.

No idea of the build cost but it was on the market at 6.8m canadian dollars a couple of years back.

It's one of those "if I had the money" projects alright! A man can dream though.

Then I need a really rich relative to die.
