Could T540 Mk IIIย

OWNERS recommend me a good guide bar for this chanisaw model?ย

Also which size it's best for climbing most of the time 12" or 14" ?

It came with Husqvarna 14" standard bar.

Got already echo 2511 with 10" mini panther bar forย  pruning.

ย

Any advice much appreciated ๐Ÿ™‚

Sorry Iโ€™m no climber, however all the mk1 and mk2 machines I see are on 10 and 12โ€ bardoโ€™s, do not see many on 14โ€.

Thank you buddy, yeah 14" it's more for removals or people's who like longer bars, not sure how it's effecting the balance hence I have asked for opinions.

Donโ€™t know the new t540 as my mk1 fell apart and husky refused to repair or replace it under warranty so not had one since! However Iโ€™ve always found a shorter bar better to climb with, once you get to big for a 12โ€ bar itโ€™s up with a back handle for me.ย

Guess it's also a question of what trees you're doing, and what back handle to move up to. I usually strip out with battery saw, then have a 14" on my 201 to start chogging with, next step 20" on MS400 usually.ย

ย

I know someone who likes 12" bar on a 200, next saw then is 16" on a 550 for any chogging but might need to swap big saws again before reaching the ground.

Used 14" today and it was brilliant, weight balanced very well, i think If I get lightweight 12 inch bar that weight balance might change so I will stick to 14ย

I have the Busy T540xp Mk 2 and I have also recently picked up a Mk 3 as well.
I run 14" bars on it and I feel comfortable with that set up and really like this top handle..
They say that it will take a 16" bar and I don't doubt it. But I then swap out to a 550xp with an 18" bar on it.

A 10" or 12" is a bit small in my opinion... I would rather run the echo 2511 on a 12" bar..

Weโ€™ve ran T540s since the mk1,

i prefer 14 inch and ย some prefer the 12 inch bar.

husky bars arenโ€™t great and of late , Oregon not any better..

Sugahari very good.

I recently got a mk3 , really like it , lots of torque.

only negative is it doesnโ€™t go long on a tank of fuel.

anybody else noticed same ?

thanks.

I have a MK 1.5 ( a Mk 1 with a lot of the MK 2 bits on it )ย  The Husqvarna bar that came with it when I bought it back when they first came out de railed the chain within the first few cuts . On closer inspection the bar was de laminating . Used a Sugi light weight pro bar since then and it has been fine . ย
