How do I one hand this splitter?

As per title. What do I bungee to what?

can u somehow move the block or do away with that one and get a different one

on my little wessex i was about to move the block round to the side and just fit a lever, and swapped a couple of hoses round

 

if not, could speak to Flow Fit online, they are helpful on hydraulic stuff for splitters

Looking at the angles of the lever, try removing the right handle and putting a block under the cross bar so it acts as if engaged.

 

It seems to need the mechanism to operate the log lifting thing tho, so butchering the hydraulics might lose that function.

On that splitter you can just do the centre bolt between the handles farkin tight and then use either handle as they then work at the same time.

From previous post a good tip is to make any mods reversible so that if you ever sell it you can do so with it at it's default 'safe' arrangement

You can’t control the log with both hands on the splitter making it more dangerous not less. Also only a retard would split one hand with the other 🤦‍♂️

More fatigue lifting your left arm up, forces your left hand closer to the piece than you want it when sycamore is popping sideways off the knife, you can't balance and adjust a slanty piece, slower to get the ram down, slower to clear away finished product. Shit all round.

 

The biggest problem is the forcing your left hand into a danger zone it doesn't need to be in, also meaning you can't use that hand to control the piece or guard yourself. Classic cobra effect design. More dangerous than a single.
