Morning, awoke at 4… dishwasher emptied, washing machine on, dryer on, load of washing folded, fire stocked back up, cup of tea. Might get some logs done today after farm work.

Morning all . Light ground frost . Most bizzzar game of football yesterday against CPR . We ( Pompey ) looked the far better team during the first half , really sharp , the best I have seen them play all season .  We had all the possesion and all the teritory .Could have been 3-0 up easely . Ended the half 1-0 up . Every one in the stands had a smile on thier face ! . I comented that if we carry on like this all the action will be at the other end and we wont have to keep getting up and down ! WRONG ! for some reason they started playing like us and we played like they did in the first half . It was like they all just swaped shirts . Ended up 1-1 . It felt like a loss to me .

Morning all,

The ceramic lining in our wood boiler broke yesterday, so running the gas boiler now. Thinking it’s not worth repairing as boiler is getting old, and water jacket could fail next. Wife looking into air heat source pumps. The firewood I had really for the boiler will feed two stoves for a long time.

Have a good Twixtmas

Every cloud has a silver lining though. Once boiler removed, Hilux can live in garage, no more defrosting or scorching hot in summer. Plus frees up space in barn where all the firewood was stored, so more room for machinery storage.
