Are you still going tomorrow gav if so you are in for a cracking days cricket.

Yeah we were there.  Missed the first hour due to our great public transport system.  Missed the last three hours due to our great weather!  And what we did see was actually ineffective bowling.  My boy and I still had a good day though - did an open top bus tour in the rain.

The BBC website says the rain came at the right time for England.  Today could be a great finish again.  Australia will certainly go for it, but we will still believe we can get the wickets.

Brilliant finish from broad deserved that ending to a great career.

Great finish in the end.  I bet the atmosphere in the England team is way better than the Australian team tonight.  They retain the ashes, but we all know England were the better side in the end and dominated three out of the five matches.

Amazing series though, and both teams fought brilliantly.

Some hoohaar going on about Ben Stoaks " cheating " reviewing a dropped catch . Surely if he thought he had dropped it he would not review it ? ( it was ropped and called accordingly )

Morning Stubs
He makes some rash decisions, it’s a strength and a weakness.

As I said the declaration in the first test probably cost the series.

I thought the aussies were more pissed off (not without justification) about the ball change before the wickets started falling.

As someone said “show me a moral victor, and I’ll show you a loser”

ps. I may be wrong, but I think Stokes was appealing because he thought the umpire had missed the glove, he thought he’d got away with the dropped catch, though the furtive look on his face gave the game away a bit.

Morning Mick . I agree about the declaration . 400+ it needed to be .

The evening session yesterday was incredible.  The last session of the last day of the last match to decide whether Aus win the series or whether the series is drawn.  Aus need 131 to win and have 7 wickets standing.  Eng win with SB taking the last two wickets.  Legend
