Eurovision Song Contest.

It used to be a joke, and it was good as a joke, laugh at Johnny Foreigner taking it seriously. Me and the wife watched it every year until the voting started (which coincides with alcohol levels reaching critical)

Now, God help us, it’s getting serious.

My misgivings.

1: Too many messages, lbgtqt stuff, gushy inclusivity blah blah blah.

2: The Ukraine thing, I’m all for supporting them, but let’s not use it as a propaganda tool, thankfully Zelensky won’t be allowed to make a video appearance.

3: Too many Scousers on TV.

I remember watching this on telly., I’d have been 12.

At the time I was pissed off that Britain didn’t win.

Legend has it they were supposed to sing it in Swedish, but switched to English on the night, and the rest as they say..

Must admit that I've never watched it and this last week has made me switch radio stations because of the sheer hype that the BBC are filling R1 and R2 with. Everything seems to revolve around the event! I hope we don't win and have to host it again next year! Utter tosh and nonsense!
