That'll mean a few weeks rest then. Hope it heals well.

Thank you, the doctor said about six weeks. I’m tempted to book a holiday caravan for a few weeks while I can’t work. A bit of R&R wouldn’t go amiss to be fair, it’s been a stressful few months.

The painkillers don’t work then, quarter to 3 and I’m up. My hand hurts more than my knee. Moral of the story, don’t rag crossers about when you’re in your fifties…

That’s a miserable situation, when you can’t sleep with pain.

Have you got help? Can you cook etc?

Yeah, I’m sorted. Our kid comes past here to get to work 3-4 afternoons a week, and my mate says just ring and he’ll be on anything I need. Not being able to drive is the only sticking point. Oh, and the damage to the bike needs sorting, but that can wait.

Heal quick Eggs.

I’ll try my best mate, I’ve just peeled the dressing off my hand, where my little finger joins my palm is almost ripped off. I’m not much of a mardarse but I’m sweating just cleaning it up!

Hope you heal fast eggs, just out of curiosity what bike was it ??. There’s a lot of good senior riders out there still but you certainly don’t bounce as well as when you were young for sure. I find a modern 450 to be far more of a handful than the old open class 2 strokes but that could well be an age thing too🤔
