As post is out of ground and not needed, the quickest way is cut through post above and below to make a log and split it out. 

Or how you did it if post is needed.

You’d think so (I did) but alas not. I tried hammers, levers and tying the hook to a tree and pulling the post with a mini loader before putting it on here.

Thats what we do and they usually come out ok,,

Stick it on the bonfire leave whilst having lunch etc, once post has burnt out use long metal handled pitch fork to retrieve fittings , no sweat and no time spent getting it out. BOOM!
