It's a straight replacement for the MS170. My only problem is, it comes with a solid nose bar! Far to many domestic customers can't tension a chain correctly with a roller nose, what chance do they have with solid!

Stihl MS 162 features a 30.1cc petrol engine offering 1.2kW of power output, which offers excellent power to weight ratio for superb control.

When your previous tool was a bowsaw from toolstation, even a blunt chisel feels like an excellent tool 🙂

Can you get a forehead operated chain brake ?.

I've cut an old pair of chaps into strips.  These hang down from my felt hat to my chest and will catch and instantly stop the chain in a kickback situation.  Then you can remove the chain brake entirely, taking the weight ratio to the next level.

I did have this mental image of Mark doing tree work looking like a Musician man with a chainsaw.

Two chainsaws with ropes attached to the throttle on each foot, with one of the lads feeding the chipper and sat on it like a horse/how I learnt to love the bomb style.
