need help identifying and finding this part

I have a parkside chainsaw

model pksa 20-li a1

No matter where or how i search I cannot seem to find a guide bar that has this little attachment on it is most definitely needed to keep the bar and chain in place.

any help in identifying or finding a replacement would be great.

the image I have used is from an ebay post selling this but to me the little "Nubs"?  that hold it in place look a tad worn down .

looking at their manual that looks like a seperate part from the bar so cant you just swap it to your new bar ? but i would say its part of the tensioner set up from the looks of it .

Looks like its function is that of  bar studs and the saw comes with holes rather than studs for that  thing to fit ?

 

So if you loose or break the it you are buggered .unless you can source another one?

Brilliant video but its that part that i need sadly not to swap it onto a new bar. Cannot find that piece anywhere online at all

According to the operators manual, parts and service agents in the UK can be contacted on 0800 4047657.

 

Not sure how much help that will be. We get a load of the 'supermarket' cheapie chainsaws in for repair, and people think we are being awkward when we can tell them what's wrong with them, but we can't source parts to repair them, but there will still be a charge for us to look at it, so we would rather not touch them in the first place.

 

Would be better off in the long run buying a spares or repair one of them on ebay and keeping it as a long term source of parts.

I need this part, which as you say doesn't appear to be available anywhere. The saw chain won't stay tight without it. A segment has sheared off mine and I can't see how it can be repaired. Any further suggestions?

Unfortunately the answer is to buy a saw that has parts back up, in the short term this may help:

You could always fit an Oregon Intenz bar.
