Either all boots are shit now or all tree surgeons are shit kickers and can't pick up their feet when they walk? Lol 😆

Just waiting for my airstream to die before winter then have the what boots dilemma myself yay 🙃

I think they’ve all moved over to that crap polyurethane sole which falls off within a year.

They certainly aren’t worth the best part of £300.

I’ve voted with my feet, so far so good with my ‘chainsaw boot’ lookalikes for £75.

If my boots last a year I’m happy, I’m not someone who knows the manufacturer or manufacturers name of my boots.

I never clean or dubbin or whatever.

Here’s my latest set, they’re called Bert and Ernie.

Speak to the dealer or Outwear. I put a warranty claim in for a customer after 7 months and they repaired them free of charge. Some companies like Meindl only give 3 months at best

I've had this before and it's just hassle. Had time send back to an online supplier then they sent them off and was a 6-7 week turn around. Pita

Always have a back up pair and when they're knackered get shut. Buy a new pair every year in Aug Sept before the bad weather so dry toes for

winter  😀

I would agree, a year is not at all unsensible, if some last a bit longer and some last a bit less that's about ok. The problem with these is 2 pair going at 6 and 7 months is not really acceptable if it isn't wear and tear. Outwear have said apparently that the manufacturers say this is wear and tear, it's an easy claim to make when you just look at photos? Had a poor discussion before with Outwear about another similar boot issue and feel pretty confident they can't be arsed to support a reasonable claim of poor manufacturing or design issue. It is a PITA and almost certainly not worth the effort to chase throw good money after bad. It's just interesting to hear if others have the same issue with a particular model of boot or whatever so any issues can be given more prominence
