Don't sugar coat it Joe , tell it like it is FFS 🙂

I'm husky through and through and I have to agree, having worked on a few of their hobby saws and they are wank. Not done much cutting with them but things like the chain tensioners, the 'chocolate bar', everything about them is cheap crap. I'd try and push my budget for a pro saw or look at pro second hand saw before buying one of the hobby saws

The bottom of the Stihl pro range is the MS024/240/241 range, I've got a MS240 and I think it's way better than it's 41cc should be, but getting a good secondhand one is almost impossible for sensible money. I don't know what the Husky version is but the Husky Rancher series gets good reviews if a bit on the heavy side.

Ms241

550xp

CS-4310SX

There are smaller pro saws from echo and stihl   (like the the toppers but with rear handles) but id say not suited to firewood imo unless its alot of small diameter coppice.

EDIT forgot about the  husky 545 but seems abit pointless imo as same price virtually as a 550xp
