Kubota v1505 woes

Good to check - if you put a 3 foot bar on going the wrong way it won't undo, then when you find the correct way you also have the problem that some tw*t has been tightening it up with a 3 foot bar and it's really hard to undo.

Basically it just turns the engine over in either direction ?

I've never done a Kubota but crank pulleys I've had off car engines in the past are usually pretty tight, hammers bars and swearing involved - mind no access to impact wrench back then  so maybe it shouldn't be so difficult.

Breaker bar on it resting against a chassis rail, either on top of the right hand one in pics or under left hand one, whichever one is likely to do less damage if it comes off, prob left hand one. disconnect electrics to injector pump so it cannot start, then flick the key to pulse the starter and very briefly part turn engine to break the bolt free. once loosened bolt should come out with ratchet and then you have to get pulley off.

drape a big rag over breaker bar so if it comes off it does not fly as far.

Thanks I owe you a pint or ten !! I initially tried that but put the bar on the underside of the right🤦‍♂️
When it came off just now… I didn’t mark where the pulley was , I can’t see that it matters but was told too… any way I found two thiny marks that match on the crank and then on pulley which I’m guessing if kubota wanted it in a certain place this is what they are.
