So i can confirm the part no.s is 501894103, they are readily available, Husqvarna dealers can order them, unfortunately the retail price is £100.43 plus vat

That's not terrible given than a pattern part was quoted earlier in this thread at £115 (presumably including vat)

I will be calling my Husky parts supplier this morning then and ask them what they are playing at. Potentially I could have lost a repair if that had been one of my customers enquiring.

If you are referring to my post that was for the Husky item from L&S, the hyway piston was £28 from Greece with shipping but it may attract tax now.

 

Of course this is all assuming the original cylinder cleans up and is not scored

Hyway kit is generally pretty good and is my second aftermarket choice after Meteor!

As Mr Pleasant said much earlier on, make sure the piston is shot, make sure the cylinder is OK, make sure you test the saw so you know the rest of it is OK when you fit the piston so it doesn't go the same way.
