Did you take the stairs or did you ride in an eletric powered lift?

To be fair we did walk up the last six flights as the queue for the elevator was half an hour!  Very impressive lifts  - ground floor to eightieth in less time than some uk lifts do four floors.

There are plenty of members on AT from across the globe, so what are you paying atm for gas and electricity?

UK is capped at the following

Gas 10.33p per kwh

Electricity 34.04p per kwh.

we pay nearly 40 cent kilowatt for electric at the moment ( if i read the bill right)

we dont have gas, so not sure about that.

coal is €40 a bag!!! and that is for the compressesed nugget type as apparently you cant get proper house coal anymore,

that and trying to ban fires and stoves in houses,it looking great!!! :(

The cheapest electricity in Western Europe is in Norway, where the average price of one kWh is USD 0.093. The Åland Islands (USD 0.118) is the second cheapest in Western Europe followed by Andorra (USD 0.127). Denmark is the most expensive in the region at USD 0.350. The UK (USD 0.251) is the 5th most expensive in Western Europe and comes 190th in the world for cheap electricity.

If you live in Norway, you can’t fail to have noticed high electricity prices just lately. Here’s what’s causing the skyrocketing...

This article is from September and shows a ten fold increase in electricity costs per unit. As I said, many I know have been paying over £500 a month for Electricity. Some significantly higher than that.
