Bamboo removal

What's the most effective way to remove bamboo? This would be on a large scale. I went to the job a few months ago to look at trees, customer came back this week asking to remove bamboo. Bamboo wasn't mentioned to me at the time so I hadn't paid attention to the bamboo but apparently it is rampant and their garden is large +2acres. I've already told them that there will be no guarantee of complete removal but more a case of getting rid of most and deal with it as its pops up.

I suppose I should at least make some attempt at being constructive then...

'This would be on a large scale'    Small digger with operator, remove all root infested material after cutting to ground level, import topsoil.  Will cost a moderate amount of money but if that's a big problem they shouldn't have let the stuff get out of hand! (Assuming the occupiers haven't just moved in)

That's what I said, second idea.

Other thing is to cut it and glyphosate sprouts, repeatedly, until you win. I've never done this, usually use the third idea myself.

We have done this on a large scale removal, cut everything back to ground level and glyphosate on regrowth, it took two years before we got the better of it though, we then ran a stump grinder through the area to cut up everything and removed it, we were hampered by the fact there was only pedestrian access to the site
