This article is worth a read for those interested in hearing how our industry representatives view freelance specialists and small startup businesses:

TREES.ORG.UK

<p class= lead brown bold >I like to try to pick up on topical issues in my articles so in the last edition...

It's a pretty disappointing read with gross generalisations and hyperbole aplenty.

Terms such as bottom feeders and parasites thrown about freely. See for yourself.

What a complete and utter W

Really the lowest of the low , small tree company’s offering niche services usually ran by arborists who have been freelancers at the top of there game have every right to exist, just because some don’t have what it takes to push them selves and progress,  they have put every thing they have and more in to there career  … and this guy has the audacity through our supposing industry’s leading body to call others parasites ,  I don’t think words can be written…..

What a load of nonsense. And as for using a disclaimer as some sort of justification.  How far do we take that? Racist, sexist views, are they ok to publish along side a disclaimer? Any editor worth his salt would have perused that article and deemed it inappropriate.  Apart from anything else, it attacks the very people they want to attract.

I've never had anything to do with the AA, and this just confirms to me that has been a good decision

The AA really ought to take advice from a reputable business consultant (I wonder if they know any? 😂) or perhaps better still, a legal firm specialising in publishing and 3rd party content.

There are specific liabilities for publishing 3rd party content which are not excused by the issue of a disclaimer.

Oh the irony if a low-life, scum sucking bottom feeder were to demonstrate harm to their business reputation from a malicious falsehood.

It seems that the AA either don't care, or are scared to do anything regarding this.

The feedback is unanimously negative from the vast majority they claim to represent, and yet they seem to have gone to ground on the matter.

It begs the question: who are they really working for?

This is it. Genuine specialists at the sharp end of the industry being treated like scum by someone who couldn't carry out a reduction if their lives depended in it. Laughable really.

Good morning Joe,

Can I refer you back to the previous Head Office post which closed with:

Our CEO John Parker always welcomes feedback and has said that if you would like to address your concerns to him in writing, please feel free to contact him on [email protected]

Thank you,

Paul
