Thanks for showing these pics, glad to see that a regular bottlejack works, been thinking of testing that setup but never got arround to do it !!!

I looked at some bottlejacks designed for tree fellig on a german online store (grübe) and they are more compact and wider but they cost a small fortune but they lift 30ton would be very neat to have one :)

Get a lorry jack. Lots of tyre fitters are getting rid of the manual ones & have air operated hydraulic ones now.

Just out of interest did you plan to use it from the start or did you have to use half way through?
