Blimey !

Thank Odin (I'm off Buddha this week ) that it was you that took the brunt of it ( not meant in any way to be a nasty comment). Thankfully little one and t'other half are pretty much unscathed.

Mend soon young man.

On the holiday from hell that just keeps on giving!

only came over here for a week for one of simonas best friends wedding. Tested positive for covid 2 nights before, then simona the day before…she was vomiting and sweating for hours(36 degrees with no air con didn’t help) and as a result ended up on an iv. Problem with that is she ended up in the system and couldn’t leave isolation without a negative test at a registered station.

flights changed and car parking extended costing an extra £300. Then BA cancelled the flight shortly after, managed to get one the same day though.

finally simona tests negative so we have a nice day out at the beach with further plans to enjoy our last 3 days here.

all going well and maddy was loving it, until a woman decided to pull out of a junction without looking. X marks the spot of the initial collision, she hit us more or less head on. Maddy escaped without a scratch on her miraculously…pretty sure it was the red bag beside her seat that saved her.

Simona has a few cuts and scrapes and a sore back but otherwise fine.

think I took the brunt of things with sink a possible landing on my rib cage(all a bit of a blur), but had x rays and no broken bones luckily. Hospital kindly relieved me of 700 euros though!

I never know if accidents where you don't die or get maimed are good or bad luck.

Sure, it is bad luck the blind woman pulled out on you intent on killing you and your loved ones but good luck no one died although I would swerve the next credit card statement, delayed shock isn't good!!

Bloody hell Steve. I really happy you are all OK. Having been hit by a couple of cars whilst cycling, I know how small you feel when bouncing across the tarmac.

Rest up perhaps consider wrapping yourself in bubblewrap for the flight home :D

Insurance will cover the hospital bill thankfully, except for the £150 excess.
