Not massively in performance that I can tell although it's early days and haven't really pushed it on large volumes of material and chipping into our trailers to measure what volume it's putting out a hour and fule used, I do think it feeds faster but you can slow that down on the remote too and having top roller open makes getting big bits in so much easier.

The Vermeer is quite a brute for its age and just keeps chewing at stuff till it's gone but we don't need a man standing next to this resetting the roller or reversing them when needed which when I worked out how much I'd spent on wages is quite a lot, now with the remote that man can be doing something else.

The ufkes is a lot easier to machine feed with the open hopper and you don't need to avoid the winch but I am going to miss that winch as it gets used all the time.

Vermeer will be going up for sale end of April once I've had time to sort a little wiring problem and service it and I'll be sorry to see it go.

How is the Maschine working out? I am off to a show next week to look at a 30/80 cheetah with a crane to feed in. I’m a bit dubious about build quality and also servicing on maschines like this because it is a huge investment. All of our wood we tend to remove with our lorry but the branch piles are annoying and always easier to remove with a bigger chipper. I do a large contract where we do a lot of apartments so a tracked would take to long to load and unload for me so I’ll be going on a tow behind route but interested in any other infos you have on working with the Maschine.

We had the 30/80 on demo but without the crane and were really impressed with the build quality and performance of the machine.

The only reason we didn't go for that was we wanted a tracked machine and that would put the 30/80 over what can be towed behind a pickup so we decided if that's the case we might as well go for the next model and slightly bigger capacity with the 40/80.
