200 gram difference between ms 400 and ms 462, I believe its not that much, actual size is the same, as I said I like ms 462 more.

For snedding out something like an MS241 is light and nimble. I've always ran that size saw and an MS462 size. Works for me.

The MS462 does rev up very quickly, if you don't mind the weight it's not a bad snedding saw at all. Let's be honest thouhg, a domestic fell isn't production forestry. I'd sooner run a smaller saw to sned out so that I can just hold the saw comfortably by the front handle in one hand and pass the end of the branch to a groundy with the other hand.

If it possible to have and carry 2 saws with you, I use 261 and 661,but I think it is not very common in forestry.

Depends on how far your working from the truck!!
I'd take two if I didn't have to walk miles but would opt for a 400 or 562 as an all rounder as usually your not.

Im not doing loads of forestry (Mostly smaller hand cutting) but I have 2 and it works great. A little 445II which I can chuck about and a 565 for the big stuff. The 445 is technically a landowner not pro saw but its solidly built and runs well. Seems a better option if you can than 1 saw fits all. Both saws combined cost me less than a 400 or 462
