Acorn famine in mid wales

For us last year was amazing for acorns so no surprise this year there are very few.

Exact opposite for us in North Cumbria, poor year last year but an average to good one this year.

3 years ago we were ankle deep in them.

Probably not in UK but could be wrong, Tanoak is a different genus to oak but has an acorn like fruit too.
