had the same problem, as a groundie re-fueling for climber, regardless of over-filling, return to starting point and apply more pressure to the centre circle. this always works for me.

Once someone has butchered the cap in it will always be a pain. check for damage.

surely you never stand under a saw being pulled up? thats just dangerous! obviously its worth double checking the cap before use.

The new caps are ACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

The oil cap has a small rectangle cut out of it, there is a corresponding rectangle cut out of the fill hole, just line up the two cut outs, push down firmly and turn, Simples!!!

 

I think these caps are a good indicator of intellect, I have had groundies who really struggled to do them and to be honest the weren't much good at owt!!

 

The ones who got the caps straight off were better all round!!!

I find removing them correctly is a good start.

 

If they are removed with the lugs lined up correctly, and the tank isnt overfilled, they should go straight on.
