Sorry to derail a thread on Sweeden! This was a local loch, about 9pm last night.

 

I'm not much of a swimmer, but I like going for a bob about, and it's important to have a wash every now and then

I went swim trekking this evening. I walked around the lake (10km of lumpy, up and down trekking) and swam three times, bringing the day total to 5 swims. I'm exhausted, but grinning. Some photos of the swims and the walk:

Rutland Water in February would be pretty hardy! Cambodia isn't a bad guess and the climate was similar but it wasn't there. Much more remote (even than Rutland!).

A few more from the last couple of days. I've been in 10 times in the last 48 hours. It's been exceptionally hot here (31c, 32c forecast today) and the water is very consistently warm. All three places I swam yesterday (after purchasing the thermometer) were 25.5 or 26c. Even my 07:00, pre-breakfast swim was 24.5c today.

 

It's going to be hard to go home tomorrow, truly.

Is that 6000 cube on your own or with employees? I know nothing about timber harvesting but can’t help but think that sounds like quite a lot of skinny trees for one man to produce…

Fair play J. Takes a bit of gumption to make a move like that- particularly as you have kids at school etc. How is your Swedish coming along? It’s an idea I often think about too- strangely I’m more keen to move there than my Swedish wife is. She reckons the long winters and early darks can take there toll a bit. But by my reckoning the summers make up for it and yes the winters might be cold and dark but they’re probably far drier and less depressing than the continuous rain and dampness we get in this part of the world over winter…
